Group Co-ordinator –  Gerald Gardner  01799 500 543 –  gerald.gardner@ntlworld.com

This group meets meets on Friday mornings at the co-ordinator’s house in Saffron Walden from 10.00 am to 12.00 noon.

The group is fully booked for our startup on Friday 9 February but could expand to a larger venue in the future. So if you are interested in joining this group in the future contact Gerald Gardner.

So far, the interests are evenly split across conventional, laptops, tablets and iPads! As a result we will necessarily start by exploring basic principles before moving on to generic applications.

We intend to run a series of sessions on computing, ranging from a very basic level covering the use of mouse, touchpad and keyboard to a more advanced level. These sessions could include hands on practice using members own laptops or tablets wherever possible. We will then construct a programme based on member’s personal interests.

Other topics could include explaining jargon, transferring pictures from cameras and scanners, email options, spreadsheets for simple accounts, free but safe software, printers, Internet use, Wi-Fi and mobile data.
