The Theatre & Travel Group have organised a day trip to the Dad’s Army Museum at Thetford (Walmington-on-Sea) on Wednesday 20thSeptember. There will be refreshments in 1940s style tea rooms on arrival, then we explore the museum with lots of Dad’s Army artefacts, and Thetford where many Dad’s Army scenes were filmed.
There is a 2 course lunch included at nearby Bressingham Gardens, where next door stands the Steam museum which exhibits recreated Dad’s Army scenery as well as beautiful trains from the heyday of steam and will include a steam ride through the beautiful gardens and local countryside. Price will depend on numbers but will be in the region of £70 per person all inclusive.
