The Saffron Walden u3a Choir is having its Summer Concert on the Bandstand in Jubilee Gardens on Saturday 16th July from 2:00 pm in aid of Addenbrookes Charitable Trust.
The concert, originally intended for 2020, is entitled ‘Let’s Go On With The Show’ and will feature a wonderful selection of songs from Cabaret, Easter Parade, Irving Berlin, Cats, The Greatest Showman, Abba and many more.
The supporting act will be the Saffron Walden u3a ukulele group, S’W’Ukes.
So put the date in your diaries and come along for a great afternoon’s entertainment.
About our u3a choir – Saffron Harmony
We have about 20 members but there is room for more. Do you enjoy a sing along and some company? This choir is for you. There is no requirement to read music and expert help from Isobel, our tutor, will ensure you will fit in to increase the quality of our sounds.
We are a mixed group with a dozen ladies and eight gentlemen.
Altos and baritones are always needed but whatever category your voice worry not! No auditions.
We meet on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of each month with one additional rehearsal on 29th June.
Come and join us and enjoy singing songs from the shows and an Abba medley.
