Thanks to Jess Grinyer for the above photo of our group in our ‘Blue Week’ for charity.
Group Co-ordinators: Lynda Sawkins – 01799 521 022 – firstname.lastname@example.org
We meet on Wednesday mornings 11.10am to 12.10pm in the Baptist Church, Saffron Walden.
The group is led by Marlene Sharpe-Westwood.
Our activities involve strength training with bands, low impact exercise and dance movements to music. The class is informal and friendly. Some members like to socialise and replenish their calories after classes with beverages at a local pub!
We hold a charity event each year and this year it was a ‘Blue Week’ where everyone dressed in blue. A total of £1,160 has been raised by different keep fit groups led by Marlene. The money raised was shared evenly and donated to The First Responders, Macmillan Nurses and Care Network Cambridge.
And finally a quote by Hugh Blair “Exercise is the chief source of improvement in our faculties” so come and join in and have fun and at the same time improve your fitness and flexibility! Contact Helen Verity above if you are interested in joining this activity.
